While stock roam freely over thousands of miles, daily checks ensure cattle remain healthy and have adequate water. Water tanks and troughs are strategically located as cattle roam freely and graze, so they are stress-free and happy whilst having an abundance of fresh, clean water from underground water stores.

Due to the vast distance herds travel, helicopters are used to check on the welfare of the cattle.  Satellites and Telemetric Information Systems are used to monitor water levels in drinking troughs.  Shade and shelter areas are provided for cattle adjacent to drinking areas, allowing them to rest and restore their energy levels.
