Traceability

  • Does NXGEN Wholefoods know where each batch of organs comes from?

    • Yes, each shipment of organs can be traced back to the farm and the individual animals from which they came. It does not get more traceable than that.

Manufacturing

  • Who manufactures NXGEN Wholefoods supplements?

    • NXGEN Wholefoods is vertically integrated. They produce their own raw materials and finished products at their state of the art facility in Australia. This is in stark contrast to the vast majority of organ supplement companies, which do not make their own raw materials or finished products.

  • How are the organs dried?

    • NXGEN Wholefoods' slow and low freeze-drying process is different than the traditional freeze-drying used by many companies. Many freeze-drying companies aim to dry products as quickly as possible, but in doing so, they often burn the product. NXGEN Wholefoods utilizes a gentle drying profile that retains more nutrients per capsule than traditional freeze-drying. They never rely on fast, high heat transfer to dry the organs, as is done with some other beef organ supplements, which can cause important vitamins, minerals, and compounds to break down.

  • How are the organs milled (turned into a powder)?

    • NXGEN Wholefoods uses cryomilling. Cryomilling is a cold process that protects the organs from the heat and friction that happens during the traditional milling process. While it is more time-consuming and expensive to use, it is a much better process.

  • Are there any solvents used in the manufacturing process?

    • The only solvents used are spring water and organic Australian apple cider vinegar. There is no hexane, acetone, ethylene dichloride, or alcohol used. Enzymes are used in the manufacture of certain products, such as the Hydro Beef Protein Powder.

  • Are there any synthetic chemicals used in the manufacturing process?

    • No!

Testing

  • Are the products tested for pathogens and contaminants?

    • Yes, each batch is third-party tested for pathogens.

    • Testing to ensure that the beef organs used by NXGEN Wholefoods are free from heavy metal contamination is conducted by the Australian Government, using Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry. Limits for heavy metals are measured in mg/Kg (ppm) and are also regulated by FSANZ (Food Standards Australia New Zealand) for food products.  The National Residue Survey (NRS) is the vehicle for testing and reporting results for Australian cattle. Samples and testing are conducted by Australian Government Veterinary Officers, who randomly collect meat samples for testing. These samples are then sent to a third-party NATA-approved laboratory for testing and reporting of results.  The cattle used by NXGEN Wholefoods have never had any non-compliance issues and have always tested far below heavy metal limits. You can read more about the heavy metal testing here.

Usagea

  • Can you use more than one organ supplement at a time?

    • Yes, you can safely combine different products.

  • Can kids use these products?

    • Yes, we recommend starting slowly. Kids can use between two to four capsules per day or as directed by their healthcare practitioner.

  • Can you open the capsules?

    • Yes, you can open any of the capsules and mix them into any food or beverage.

  • Should the products be taken with or without food?

    • You can take them with or without food. If you have a sensitive stomach, it is best to take them with food. However, Pancreas and Digestive Enzymes should be taken ten to fifteen minutes before meals. Most of the products are best taken earlier in the day.

  • Can pregnant or nursing women use these supplements?

    • While organs are generally considered safe to use while pregnant or nursing, it is always best to speak with your healthcare practitioner before using any supplement when pregnant or nursing.

  • How many capsules equal a serving of powder?

    • Six capsules equal about a 1/2 teaspoon (3 grams) of powder.

  • Should I start with the full amount or gradually increase the dosage?

    • It is best to start with a lower dosage and gradually increase until the desired dosage is reached. Many people are not used to how nutrient-dense organs are, and sometimes get too much energy when starting with the full dosage.

  • How should the supplements be stored?

    • They should be stored in a cool, dry place.

Product questions

  • How do the products compare to fresh organs?

    • Six capsules or 1/2 a teaspoon of powder equal about one ounce of fresh organ meat.

  • Are there any synthetic or isolated vitamins and minerals in any NXGEN Wholefoods products?

    • No!
