ANCESTRAL PIONEER
The Beginning Of Modern Endocrinology
Dr. Henry Harrower, 1883-1953, is known as the father of modern-day endocrinology and established the Harrower Laboratory and Clinic in Glendale, CA.
He researched and treated various illnesses with Organotherapy, the consumption of various glands in order to treat and rejuvenate the glands. He sold his company to a pharmaceutical company in 1940. He was instrumental in establishing the Endocrine Society, which now has more than 17,000 members in 120 countries. It is the world’s largest and most active organization devoted to research on hormones and the clinical practice of endocrinology. His original thesis and discoveries led to many modern-day endocrinology practices.
In 1912, he published the first of many books, Practical Hormone Therapy. In it, he introduces glandular therapy for adrenal health, liver health, thyroid, heart, brain, pituitary, hypothalamus, reproductive organs, and more.
