What makes NXGEN Wholefoods Emu Oil different?

This oil is produced in a gentle manner. It is unrefined, whereas most emu oil goes through multiple refining steps.  It contains the full range of fatty acids and vitamins, as they naturally occur. There is no alteration or change of the fatty acid profile.

What do the emu eat?

The emu are free range and eat a variety of foods, including plants, fruits, insects, and small animals. They are also given some non-GMO grain to supplement what they forage.

The farms they free range on are not sprayed with synthetic pesticides or herbicides.

Are the emus given hormones or antibiotics?

No!

What makes Australian Emu different than Emu from other parts of the world?

Emu from other parts of the world come from zoo stock and old farm stock. The breeding there was done for larger birds with more meat. However, this creates birds with a different fat profile, which is very different and inconsistent from traditional emu fat.

Is the oil refined?

No, the oil is not stripped, deodorized, bleached, distilled, or winterized.
